Young people from Wythenshawe volunteered at the Agricultural Rural Centre in Romiley yesterday (27/04/11) as part of the Make it Happen project. Make it Happen is a new project GMYN is delivering across the Central West, North West and Wythenshawe Districts of Manchester. The project engages young people 13-19 in volunteering by working with groups of young people to first building their understanding of volunteering, support them to partake in volunteering activities and then to evaluate and learn from their experiences. Groups from Parkway Green Housing Trust; Willow Park Housing Trust and YMCA Training Wythenshawe enjoyed a sunny day of volunteering at ARC (http://www.arc-cic.co.uk/).

Activities included: painting animal hutches; cleaning out the animal hutches; walking the baby goats; watering the produce; building an eggloo and building an Arc around a seating area!!!
