Go! Oldham volunteering project for 13-15 year olds

Go! Oldham is a summer activities programme funded by Oldham Council providing fun community based activities for young people aged 13-19.  Greater Manchester Youth Network have received funding to run a volunteering project for 13-15 year olds from 30th July – 16th August. A group of young people will engage in various volunteering activities with different organisations in Oldham including Age Concern, Dr Kershaw’s and Daisy Nook Country Park.  The activities will culminate in a residential at The Castleshaw Centre where the group will get involved in challenging outdoor activities, as well as look at the skills they have gained from the volunteering.

The photo shows part of a collection of painted pebbles that the group worked on at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice to be displayed in their garden.  For further information about the project, please contact Fiona Shirley on 0161 274 3377.
