Projects & Services

GMYN deliver a variety of projects both locally within Greater Manchester and on a European level with partner organisations in a number of European countries. All our projects aim to support people to improve their lives by taking positive action to increase their skills and abilities, as well as gaining experience and increasing confidence and self-esteem.

Our main area of work is youth volunteering. We previously managed a Millennium Volunteers team that worked across Greater Manchester and we now manage four vinvolved teams; vinvolved is England’s national youth volunteering programme that replaced Millennium Volunteers. We are a registered sending organisation for the European Voluntary Service, which supports young people to volunteer abroad and our newest project offers targeted support for young people not in education, employment or training to take advantage of the experience and skills that can be gained from volunteering.

The European projects that we are currently working on focus on supporting disabled people, and the people who support them, to improve integration and accessibility in the workplace.
