Myrtle Finley
My work and volunteering prior to joining GMYN has mainly involved youth work with equality groups such as LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans) young people and work with young women.
How you ended up at GMYN
I started working with GMYN in June 2010 as a Youth Volunteer Advisor on the Manchester vinvolved Team, until March 2011. I have also worked as a Volunteer Inclusion Officer on the Make It Happen project. During the Summer of 2011 I also supporting the delivery of the GMYN’s NCS (National Citizen’s Service) pilot in Manchester.
What you do at GMYN
My current role is to coordinator the GiveGetGo! Project which offers young people, who are 16-25 and live in Manchester,the opportunity to try out volunteering and reflect on their experiences with an emphasis on how volunteering can support and improve emotional welbeing.
Hobbies/interests etc.
My hobbies/interests includes crafts, cycling, volunteering and helping to make the world a better place.

I won the Peerlink Peer Trainer of the Year award in 2008.
