Project Coordinator
Part Time – £23,708 NJC Point 28 – pro rata for 28 hours a week

Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) is looking to recruit an appropriately skilled/experienced worker to plan, deliver and administer a range of informal learning sessions and volunteering activities for disadvantaged young people who are in care and also care leavers aged 13-18 in Oldham and Bury.
Staff Role
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of a new GMYN project called Boom funded by Children in Need.
Boom will offer young people a volunteering-based activity, training and support programme. These organised activities will support young people’s transition into adulthood and will encourage active citizenship as well as providing enjoyable activities for people in a safe, supportive environment.
The worker will support the young people to engage in the project and other activity, by addressing barriers to participation and raising their confidence
The project will also offer progression routes, supporting young people to make links to advice, education providers and employment once they leave the project.
Working hours/location
The post will be based at GMYN’s offices in Manchester and the activities will be delivered across Bury and Oldham. It is therefore essential that the worker has access to a vehicle. Travel expenses will be paid.
The hours of work are those necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role. This will involve working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends as well as during the day.
